The ‘obi’ belt is the most time-consuming part of wearing a kimono.
Long-years of practice is required to tie the obi behind your back by yourself.
You will need to be very flexible to be able to reach the upper side of your back to tie the obi.
Features of the 3-way Reversible Shunbisou
・You can enjoy twocolors with one reversible obi.
・You can create a ribbon for a ‘tsunodashi’ style obi.
(Note: Tsunodashi is a specific knot-style for tieing the obi-belt)
・You can enjoy the obi without the ribbon for a simple ‘otaiko’ style obi.
Our obi belt has an ‘obi-ita’ inside (cardboard), and an ‘obi-pad can be used to create the obi-age.
We have simplified the obi as much as possible, while maintaining its beautiful.

The single color Otaiko obi are suitbale for formal dinners, while the Tsuno dashi style is a more casual type of obi.
Please wear with either ‘Komon’ type kimono or ‘Tsumugi’ type kimono. The Tsunodashi style obi with ribbons are casual scenes, and are suitable for to be worn with the ‘Komon’ kimono or Yukatas.
