The Iromuji Kimono can be worn for a variety of scenes such as ceremonies or formal outings.
Iromuji kimono is a plain solid color kimono (other than the black color) with no patterns woven in.
It is a very versatile kimono that can be matched with most obi-belts or accessories.
The No-crest (without a kamon) Iromuji Kimono tends to match well with the ‘Nagoya Obi’ or the ‘Hanhaba Obi’, and are suited for casual occasions.

The Iromuji Kimono is also typically worn with the ‘Otaiko-belt’, which makes the kimono more suitable for dinners or theatres.
Adding crests (kamon)to a kimono makes the kimono more formal:
1 crest (kamon) : Suitable for semi-formal events such as parties.
3 crest (kamon): Suitable for entrance ceremonies or graduation ceremonies.
5 crest (kamon): Suitable for formal ceremonies such as weddings, funerals, coming of age etc.
Depending on the number of crest (kamon), the Iromuji Kimono can be used for a wide range of occasions.
